About
First and foremost, I am aa husband and father. I teache Spanish at the local community college in my town, and I love opening a new world for learners. I'm captivated by the language acquisition process, and often blog about it. I am especially enamored with the teaching with comprehensible input (TCI) revolution that is taking place across world of language instruction.
I write novels for language learners, listen to audiobooks (books on tape), play the guitar, and watch my kids play sports and grow up too fast.
I also spend entirely too much time building websites with Nanoc and Tailwind CSS, and web applications with Ruby on Rails. Sometimes I get paid for that, which is nice. Other times it's on my own, which is at least fun.
